Although the season for oysters is in autumn and winter, at Czeczotka Food & Cocktail Bar they are available all year round. Oysters are a speciality of French cuisine. Encased in a shell, the delicate molluscs are considered one of the noblest aphrodisiacs. Gillardeau oysters – what makes them stand out?
Gillardeau oysters are considered to be some of the best in the world. They are characterised by a sweet, delicate flavour with nutty notes. They are not as intensely salty as some other varieties. Their flavour is a remarkable harmony – delicate sweetness meets a slight hint of sea breeze, and the silky texture envelops the palate. Meaty, firm and yet velvety creamy – these are the qualities that make them served in the most prestigious restaurants. Czeczotka Food & Cocktail Bar is one of the few places in Krakow where you can taste them at their best.
What is the secret of the excellent taste of our oysters?
Gillardeau is not only the name of an oyster, but above all the name of a family that has been farming them for generations. They are known for their very strict selection and quality control at every stage of production. It is said that only about 40% of the Gillardeau oysters grown meet their high standards.
According to an expert
Gillardeau oysters owe their exceptional flavour to their unique breeding method, which takes up to four years. For the first nine months, they are grown on oyster beds and then placed in bags and submerged in deep, nutrient-rich waters, explains the expert from czeczotkabar.co.uk
What accompaniments do we offer for oysters?
Gillardeau oysters taste great on their own, but it is the appropriately selected additions that bring out their depth of flavour. We serve them with mignonette sauce, edible gold, as well as baked in a velvety cream sauce with a hint of nori and crispy croutons. We also coat oysters on request.
Which oysters from our range do we recommend the most?
Gillardeau oysters are second to none. Their subtle sweetness and velvety texture make them a delight for both experienced connoisseurs and those just beginning their adventure with this exquisite delicacy.
Why choose our oysters?
Served in the best restaurants in the world, Gillardeau oysters win the hearts of gourmets with their unique nutty flavour and delicate creaminess. In our restaurant, we serve them in an original setting. We make sure that every bite provides an unforgettable taste experience. In addition, the location of our restaurant in the very heart of Krakow and live music make the oyster tasting at Czeczotka Food & Cocktail Bar more than just a meal – it is a unique culinary experience that stays in your memory for a long time.
